Jake is the Chief Financial Officer of Taurus Private Markets, LLC and is responsible for managing the finance, operations, and compliance functions of the firm.  

 

Prior to joining Taurus Private Markets in April 2020, Jake was the Head of Compliance at DuPont Capital Management. Jake joined DuPont Capital Management in 2013 and during his tenure worked in both the Private Markets Accounting and Compliance departments.

Prior to joining DuPont Capital Management, Jake was a Private Equity Accounting Manager at SEI Investments.  During his time with SEI Investments, Mr. Venable was responsible for establishing and maintaining procedures to provide accurate and timely financial reporting for over 100 private equity and real estate partnerships.

Jake also worked as a Senior Associate at KPMG where he conducted audit engagements across various investment managers, including private equity, real estate, hedge fund, and mutual fund clients.

​

Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University.  Mr. Venable is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
